Jonathan Day 295

Da Da and I were up very late after the torrential rains here last night.  The yard flooded and then for some reason the drains we have in the back yard clogged and all the water flooded the garage.  Luckily Da Da noticed minutes before it went to the basement.  We were 1/4 inch from it pouring down the steps.  I was digging trenches down the driveway and Da Da was stacking bags of salt at the basement steps.

Longest day EVER!  Jonathan Harper was up pretty early and in a very silly mood.  It wasn't a cute sweet silly but an annoying silly.  He was yanking our chains all day and then getting upset when we didn't respond the way he wanted us to respond.

We drove to Lowes so I could get parts to make an automated chicken feeder.  JH watched "new trains" and chattered and sang the entire way.  Again, it was a very long day!

I made spicy enchiladas for me and Da Da and a grilled ham and cheese for JH.  Jonathan ate a few bites and then wanted bites from my plate.  He kept making a face saying, "that's spicy, more please".  We gave him creamed corn between bites to cool him down.

After dinner I gave him a bath and Da Da held him in his "nice and warm (towel)" while he played baby.  He sat nice for about 40 minutes and it was off to bed.

2 days and we'll receive the final adoption decree!  This was a long road that will be final in just hours.
