I miss my boys! I had no idea how hard it would be to have them both gone for two days. Rick told me when he put him to bed last night he asked where Daddy was. Only one more night away and I'll be able to put Jonathan to bed with a goodnight kiss.
Rick needs to put something on here about his visit with Grandma and Grandpa.
Day two of being back home with our families.
ReplyDeleteI have to say....it was great waking up next to our little boy this morning. This is something that Daddy and I discussed and we decided that we don't want him to get used to sleeping with us. But, with staying at my parents...it was our only option. I thing I found out is that Jonathan all 29lbs of him is a bed hog! LOL. As I was slowly waking up...Jonathan was laying next to me sharing the same pillow and said good morning dada in his soft little voice! There have been many times since getting him that my heart has melt but this moment especially did.
We had a great day. We walked up to the park for about 45 minutes or so. He LOVES the merry-go-round and it was the hit of the visit. Again he said...AGAIN! I did so many agains I was dizzy.
Today was a special day...today we had a BBQ in the back yard. We even set up a pool on the deck. Jonathan was very excited to see whom our special guest was...Jon's mom / Grandma.
It was nice having all of the new grandparents there for a day. Jonathan was playing in his pool and playing toss the ball with grandpa. Every other catch he fell in the somewhat cool water and a scream of excitement and coldness errupted. He kept all of us entertained for atleast 2 hours.
After a day of fun...it had to come to an end!
Tonight was yet another good night. I put Jonathan to bed and off to sleep he went. It was really weird for a few moments when I laid down next to him. After a few minutes of thought I realized what was missing was daddy to wish the two of us a good night.
We both look forward to going home tomorrow and getting the three of us back together and get back into our already engraved routine of things!
